John McAfee 2020 & Binance funds the world

John Mcafee 2020!?!?

The Bit

John McAfee doesn’t only grow Antivirus software, he also predicted that the Bitcoin price was going to grow to $500,000 in 2020. Take it from him,“If not, I will eat my own d*ck on national television” is running for president.

The Bigger Picture

In 2016 McAfee was beat out by Gary Johnson to represent the Libertarian party, but he’s still getting after it. He said in a tweet that in 2020, he will run again for them if asked, but if not, will create his own party to represent the crypto community. Not only this, but last week he tweeted the creation of a cryptocurrency with associated smart bills – the McAfee Redemption Unit.” Take a look at the pictures on the bills. This isn’t a joke.

Binance is making it rain

The Bit

Binance is starting 10 rounds of funding for cryptocurrency projects that will total $1 billion.

The Bigger Picture

The rounds will be split between 20 different cryptocurrency funds and actual blockchain projects. The first investment was the blockchain-based clone of Uber “Kuaidi Dache.” They believe this to be a “disruptive social experiment,” but there doesn’t seem to be anywhere to go when you have someone like John McAfee setting the bar on “disruptive.” The capital will be sourced from Binance’s own reserves with the “high tide raises all ships” mentality.

Mastercard puts crypto-coupons on deck

The Bit

Mastercard’s patent they filed back in 2016 was just confirmed. It described a method for using the main aspects of cryptocurrencies to improve coupons.

The Bigger Picture

“Method and System for Authentication of Coupons via Blockchain” – in other words: “We’re going to copy all the good stuff about cryptocurrencies and call them coupons to win a patent.” The coupons will use cryptocurrency staples such as cryptographic signatures, wallets, and blockchain-style data collection to give coupons the same benefits cryptos give users – immutability and prevention of the double-spending problem.

“The gig economy is empowerment. This new business paradigm empowers individuals to better shape their own destiny and leverage their existing assets to their benefit.” – John McAfee
