Ashton ripple’s Ellen

The Bit

Don’t you know? Ashton Kutcher is an actor and “tech investor”. Last week, he donated $4 mln in Ripple (XRP) to Ellen Degeneres’ Wildlife Fund.

The Bigger Picture

But seriously, he’s been involved in Bitpay, Sound Ventures and Ripple investments through the company “A-Grade Investments.” His business partner, Guy Oseary, is a talent manager who works with Madonna, U2, and Amy Schumer among others. Ellen Degeneres has lectured on crypto in the past. Remember when she attempted to explain Bitcoin to her viewers? She pretty much summed it up by saying, “Nobody understands it, but everyone’s talking about it. It’s like a plot twist in a confusing movie.”

Dark Web & Stormy Daniels. PB & J.

The Bit

Stormy, recently involved with a scandal involving Donald Trump and a nondisclosure agreement, is now accepting crypto on her adult website.

The Bigger Picture

The website will be integrating the Vice Industry (VIT) Token similarly to how Steem tokens work with Steemit – as an incentive to encourage media engagement within the adult media community. For example, visitors to StormyDaniels.com will be rewarded with VIT for watching content or interacting with it by liking or commenting. Earnings can then be used on subscriptions or premium content on Ms. Daniels’ site or other partnered adult sites. The token can also be exchanged for other cryptocurrencies and spent or converted into fiat currency.

Will this blockchain-Uber stop the struggle bus?

The Bit

Founder of Chinese P2P Uber style app, Kuaidi Dache, has revealed plans to build a blockchain-based ride-sharing equivalent to Uber.

The Bigger Picture

This could be the beginning of the end for monopolized centralized apps like Uber. The company itself dropped $4.5 billion last year, faces growing competition, and constantly fights regulatory regulations. And to kick the horse while it’s down, their chief executive was removed in June amid multiple federal criminal probes and a workplace marred by sexual harassment allegations. They remain the “household name”, so it’s probably only a matter of time before we see an “Uber-Chain.” Mover in the space, Chen, has invested in at least a dozen cryptocurrency projects, including some of the major trading platforms such as Binance and Huobi. He could be the right man to lead this big initiative.

You can’t stop things like Bitcoin. It will be everywhere and the world will have to readjust. World governments will have to readjust.” – John McAfee
